DESCENT OF NIGHT

There is something so inviting about the night,
The black that conceals all sight of sunlight,

Along with it descends a sense of tranquillity,
A peace that’s divine in its hushed fragility,

Above, the singing stars glitter us with their shade,
Allowing us a basking glow of moonlight to bathe,

The calmness intensifies through the colours of dusk,
Washing away all our worries in this radiant musk,

With this glamour the whole hemisphere they electrify,
For it’s time for these celestial bodies to rule the sky,

This is the moment to gather all the distresses of the day,
For as the night passes, with sunrise they’ll all float away.
